Judged 4-H shows, specifically Dressage classes.

Showed successfully in Open Horse Shows in Western and English on multiple horses of varied levels.

High Point Award at Montana Winter Fair Show, Open Show Reserve High Point First Level Cottonwood Dressage Show, USDF Multiple wins in Equitation with green horses on up to finished Multiple wins in Dressage at USDF shows, Training, First and Second Levels.

Successful showing in  green-horse Reining classes, Leader of Drill team, grand entries CNFR and other rodeos and parades

Training & Education:

Strong background in halter-breaking and groundwork.

Competent to train horses to tie, clip, load, wash, lead and be                                                   respectful with safe ground manners.

Personally have had riding lessons on a weekly basis for past decade to continue my education.

Rode in clinics with  Buck Brannaman, Brad Cameron, Laurie Erban, Patrick Severance, Jeremy Steinberg, Sue Sherry, Ruth Shaefer, J.D. Anderson, Missy Fladland, Megan and Jess Holloway, including topics from colt-starting, showing and general horsemanship to reining, equitation and the intricacies of Dressage.

Clinicked with Paul Belasik for a week at his facility in Pennsylvania. Audited clinics by Axel Steiner, Paul Belasik, Jane Savoie, Bob Avila, Clinton Anderson, Ruth Schaefer, Jill Hassler-Scoop, Jan Ebling, Eckert Meiner and Parreli instructors.

Attended the National Reining Assoc. (NRA) judging school to become acquainted with                  scoring system.

Equine Management:

In addition to previous employment situations where I managed larger groups of employees, I managed daily operations of boarding facility, including scheduling of cleaners, vet and farrier appointments, supplements, grain and hay supplies and grounds maintenance. Successfully managed all the needs of both horses and owners for over 16 years.

Created facility from ground up and profitably ran horse boarding business during all of that time.

Responsible for all aspects of horse boarding and training facility, including grounds, fencing, maintenance, repairs, financial needs, etc.

Also managed Corner Gait Ranch, an indoor boarding and training facility, bringing it to a profitable state again.

Also managed Rocky River Horse Farm (2005), an indoor boarding, lesson and training facility in Bloomington, Indiana. Managed all daily operations, responsible for 44+ boarders and horses in training. Ran  the lesson program and taught horsemanship, basic riding skills and dressage. Also trained approx. 6 horses/day varying from halter work, finishing to overcoming problem behaviors for both horse and rider.

I am a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor's degree, having double-majored in Psychology and Spanish. The majority of my career prior to creating my own horse boarding facility, involved marketing, advertising, management and customer service. I have been fortunate to be able to combine my career skills with my passion - horses. Listed below are additional equine accomplishments that also add to my skill set with horse care, lessons and training.
Reproduction:

Attended Northwest Equine Reproduction Services breeding and A.I. clinic. 

Educated in stallion handling and breeding, owned and bred stallion for 8 years. In-depth understanding of the breeding process, including mare and stallion care, reproduction cycles, vet procedures, live cover and A.I. procedures.

Hand bred many mares. Foaling experience. Have foaled out over 40 babies over the years.

Equine Care:

Sole proprietor of horse boarding operation managing 40+ horses/month year round, including stallions, mules, foals, geriatrics and special needs cases.

Solid understanding of animal husbandry, nutrition, health issues, herd management.

Stickler for cleanliness and maintaining safety  for both horse and owner.
